Holidays and timetables

At The University of Manchester, we pride ourselves on giving our health or social care students opportunities as similar to those taking other courses as possible.

This means that we endeavour to schedule regular annual leave throughout your course.

However, due to the nature of regulated health or social care courses that include placements, annual leave periods must be taken at pre-scheduled times; we are unable to authorise holidays that fall outside of these periods.

Please check with your course admissions or programme team before booking any holidays. Where religious holidays and festivals are not included within annual leave periods, we will endeavour to accommodate them; however, you should inform placement areas and the University in advance.

Please be aware that many courses have specific hours and attendance requirements that must be completed to be eligible to register as a qualified health or social care professional.
