Funding and fees
In the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health there is a host of funding available to support postgraduate researchers.
This includes fully funded programmes offered in partnership with research councils or charities and linked to specific projects, and fully funded scholarships and awards to support postgraduate researchers from specific groups and countries.
These funding schemes are non-repayable, and cover your tuition fees and an annual stipend to support your living costs. Some also include additional funding for training, networking and conferences.
Alternatively, if your project is self-funded and you don't have funding, you may be able to apply for a postgraduate loan or find funding externally through your government, an industry or charity.
International sponsors
Each year we accept applicants who have obtained scholarships and funding from their home country or government. These include Commonwealth Scholarships, Saudi Arabia Cultural Bureau (SACB), CONACyT and China Scholarship Council.
If you are unsure whether there are any scholarship opportunities that apply to your country or you have received funding from your government, please contact the Doctoral Academy Admissions Team at fbmh.doctoralacademy.admissions@manchester.ac.uk.
