Our CPD courses

Pharmacy

  • Advanced Clinical Skills (short course) (30 credits)
    Part-time blended learning (includes both campus-based and distance learning elements)

This short course enables trainee practitioners to independently evaluate and assess patients who present to the emergency department and independently recommend and/or prescribe appropriate medicines for their treatment.

  • Independent Prescribing (short course) (30 credits)
    Part-time blended learning (includes both campus-based and distance learning elements)

This four-month course is aimed at nurses, midwives and other allied health professionals who wish to take on the role of an independent prescriber in their area of practice.

Selected units from our MSc in Clinical Pharmacy are available as standalone CPD courses that are delivered online:

Based at The University of Manchester, the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) is funded by Health Education England to provide CPD opportunities for all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing NHS services in England.

Postgraduate degrees

We also offer a range of courses for professionals who wish to work towards a full postgraduate award (MSc/PGDip/PGCert), including Model-Based Drug Development (MSc) and courses in:
