Postgraduate CPD units in nursing, midwifery and social work

We offer a wide range of Level 7 units for health professionals looking to improve their skills and further their careers through CPD.

Our CPD units are available to both those working in nursing, midwifery and social work and other health practitioners.

You can study individual units as standalone short courses, or build up the credits earned through individual units to contribute towards a postgraduate award.

How to apply

You will need to apply via the online application form for the academic year you wish to study in.

You will apply for the PGT Stand Alone Units – Part time programme, rather than the specific course unit. This programme includes all the Level 7 Nursing CPD units and you will be asked to specify your chosen unit(s) towards the end of the application form.

As part of your application, you will be required to submit a 300-500 word personal statement. This should explain why you are applying to study this course unit/programme and how you expect to use the ideas, information, skills gained during the course units in your work. Please also include a brief description of your current work-related duties.

You may also be required to submit copies of relevant academic certificates.

You do not need to provide confirmation of funding with your application. However, if you are being sponsored, you will be able to submit a copy of your sponsorship letter in your MyManchester account once you submitted your application and created your IT account.

If you are interested in studying at Level 6, please visit the undergraduate CPD page.
