We develop and implement the Faculty’s research and innovation strategy by promoting collaboration across disciplines and coordinating the production of large-scale research and fellowship proposals.

Research impact

We help researchers to make a real-world difference from their research, including incorporating impact plans into funding bids, planning, evidencing, communicating and celebrating impact.

Business engagement

Bridging the gap between academia and industry, our business engagement team facilitates the development of partnerships with business, including collaborative research, knowledge exchange, consultancy, student projects and facilities sharing.

Research development

We enable the development of major bids, project grants and fellowship applications, facilitating collaborative research and exploiting strategic funding intelligence.

Translational research

Through Translation Manchester, we help researchers to overcome barriers to conducting translational research by providing expertise, funding opportunities, facilities, and a network of partners.
