Our three-year BSc course is aimed at students who wish to train as an optometrist. You can take the BSc on its own or add a year to the course and study for an MSci, which includes the pre-registration year required to qualify and is unique to The University of Manchester.

Taught master's

This master's course is ideal if you want to expand your professional knowledge of the field as a current ophthalmologist, optometrist, orthoptist or nurse, or if you want to enter a related research or academic career.

This course will help you to develop teaching and assessment skills you need to help train future generations of healthcare workers.
