Most of our biological and biomedical sciences undergraduate courses can be studied with international study.
Our partnerships with world-class overseas universities provide you with the opportunity to travel and learn internationally by studying abroad for a year, making your degree four years in total.
The year abroad, subject to satisfactory academic performance and placement availability, will take place between your second year and final year. You will study bioscience-related course units and, depending on the options available at the partner university, you may also pursue some other subjects of interest.
All of the overseas universities involved provide teaching in English. Students can only study abroad at universities that we have exchange agreements with.

Course content
What will my course look like?
During the overseas year, you will study a minimum of 60 credits of bioscience-related course units. Depending on the options available at the partner university, you may also pursue certain other subjects of interest.
You'll be assessed by the partner university and must pass (the equivalent of a pass at The University of Manchester) all course units studied. Marks obtained at the partner university will not contribute to the overall degree classification. If you don't pass the course units abroad, you will transfer back to the three-year BSc course.

Apply through UCAS for the relevant four-year degree programme, which has 'with International Study' in the title. For example, Biology with International Study.
