A longitudinal study of the health and social service needs of lung and colorectal cancer patients receiving palliative care. Patient recruitment took place during February 1995 - February 1998 when the research team were located in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, University of Cambridge. One hundred patients were recruited: 46 patients with colorectal cancer and 56 with lung cancer. Five year follow up was completed in 2003. During this period the anonymised dataset was transferred to the University of Manchester when the Principal Investigator, Professor Chris Todd, took up a Chair in Primary Care and Community Health at Manchester.
