Narrative review of information and support needs for carers of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Abstract
Carers are recognised as an important healthcare resource nationally, but there is also recognition that their needs may not fully be met. Carers have been identified as being a key player in the care of patients with COPD. This on-going review is seeking to establish whether this recognition has resulted in any work specifically focused on supporting such carers in their role.
