Exploring the information needs of Singapore women with breast cancer
Abstract
Little is known about the information needs of women with breast cancer in non-western societies. This study examines the priority information needs of Singapore women with breast cancer and will statistically compare findings to previous work involving women diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK. The study uses a valid and reliable measure, the Information Needs Questionnaire (INQ) developed by Prof Lesley Degner (Canadian colleague and collaborator). The INQ has been shown to have cross-cultural relevance and sensitivity in a recently completed study on the information needs of Malaysian women.Members of the project
