Methodology

We carry out a range of methodological research in the field of cancer, supportive and palliative care.

Our methodological work has centred on:

• symptom measurement and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs);
• recruitment to research studies;
• the introduction of the MRC framework for development and evaluation of RCTs in palliative care;
• the development of research methods guidance for palliative care;
• the development of the PiPS prognosticator.
