All students should normally be able to complete their programme of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that programme. Any unavoidable additional compulsory costs totalling more than 1% of the annual home undergraduate fee per annum, regardless of whether the programme in question is undergraduate or postgraduate taught, will be made clear to you at the point of application. Professional entry qualification
Home-schooled applicants
If you have followed a non-standard educational route and have been, for example, educated at home, your application will be considered against the standard entry criteria of the course to which you applied. You will be required to demonstrate that you meet the academic entry requirements as specified for the course. We will also require a reference which should be written by somebody who knows you well enough, in an official capacity, to write about you and your suitability for higher education. Course details
Course description
We offer a wide range of Level 6 units for health professionals looking to improve their skills and further their careers through CPD.
Our CPD units are available to both those working in nursing, midwifery and social work and other health practitioners.
You can study individual units as standalone short courses, or build up the credits earned through individual units to contribute towards an undergraduate award.
BSc awards
Our Nursing Practice BSc (Hons) course is for qualified nurses and midwives who wish to undertake CPD at undergraduate (Level 6) level.
You can either take individual units attached to these courses as standalone CPD courses, or combine several units to build up 120 credits over a maximum of five years on a part-time basis and achieve the full BSc award.
Please note that these BSc courses are not suitable for undergraduate students wishing to gain NMC registration as a nurse - please see the following BNurs courses instead:
