Wounds research theme: CLAHRC GM – wound care

The Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) Greater Manchester is part of the National Institute for Health Research and is a partnership between providers and commissioners from the NHS, industry, the third sector and The University of Manchester.

We aim to improve the health of people in Greater Manchester and beyond through carrying out research and putting it into practice.

There is a programme of wound care work within the current Greater Manchester CLAHRC. We are aiming to build an active and collaborative community services-focused wound care research and implementation network across Greater Manchester over five years.

For further information, visit the CLAHRC Wound Care page.

Current projects underway to help us meet our objectives include:

  • a priority-setting exercise to identify and prioritise uncertainties in wound care for future research within CLAHRC-GM;
  • a cross-sectional community survey of complex wounds;
  • understanding wound care prescribing practices.

For more details about these projects, visit the CLAHRC Wound Care page.
