Midwifery and Women's Health research group
The Midwifery and Women's Health research group brings together an interdisciplinary group of applied health researchers, social scientists and statisticians committed to the generation of the highest quality evidence for health and social care practice.
Working in a range of national and international settings, our research has a measurable impact on maternal and infant wellbeing, as evidenced by our outstanding performance in the REF 2014.
Methodologies are unrestricted, but range from mixed-methods discovery research to the robust testing of health and psychosocial interventions. We are particularly committed to building research capacity in low and middle-income countries to improve reproductive healthcare. Doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows are integral to the group's thriving research environment.
