Master's nursing students in a lecture at The University of Manchester

Advanced Practice & Leadership (MSc)

This MSc is aimed at healthcare workers who want to further their careers.

Our flexible master's course in Advanced Practice & Leadership enables nurses, midwives, social workers and allied healthcare professionals to develop professional knowledge and leadership skills.

You will become better able to advance your practice and service delivery - as well as improve the care and experiences of patients and service users - upon completion of the course.

Depending on your professional background, you can follow one of four pathways:

The MSc can be studied full-time (one year) or part-time (up to five years), allowing you to fit study around your other commitments. You may also study certain units online.

Alternatively, you can study CPD short courses made up of standalone course units without an award.

Our courses are supported by a dedicated team comprising academics, leaders in their fields of research and practice, specialist practitioners, eLearning specialists and professional support staff.

You will also have access to the University's learning resources and one of the best academic libraries in the UK.
