Instrumental Change at the Manchester Central Library, Wednesday 11 December

This one-day pop-up exhibition was organised by MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies students, in collaboration with the Museum of Medicine and Health. The exhibition focused on the materiality of medical instruments and how this has changed through time. Exploring key themes of functionality and sustainability, Instrumental Change invited visitors to challenge their own assumptions about the medical world.

Deaf Education and Audiology: a journey through artefacts, archives and creativity at Manchester Central Library, 14 October - 14 December 2019

We loaned our hearing aid collection to this exhibition, which was part of the 100-year anniversary celebrations of deaf education and audiology at The University of Manchester. The exhibition provoked questions around how we understand, collect and communicate D/deafness in a dominant hearing world.
