Our knowledge exchange schemes provide you with the opportunity to develop mutually beneficial partnerships across a broad range of disciplines, services and facilities, to support innovation and promote growth.
The Faculty's knowledge exchange opportunities are delivered through schemes such as:
- MRC Proximity to Discovery (P2D) Industry Engagement Fund - Following the successful implementation of Phase 1, The University of Manchester has been awarded £250,000 from the Medical Research Council (MRC) to deliver Phase 2 of the MRC Proximity to Discovery (P2D) Industry Engagement Fund, running from 1 March 2016 to 30 June 2017. The fund aims to overcome the bottleneck to the establishment of new collaborations by supporting early interactions and knowledge exchange between industry and academic researchers.
- Medical Research Council Confidence in Concept - This is an ongoing scheme with rolling deadlines. For 2016, The University of Manchester has over £1 million for projects that accelerate the transition from discovery research to translational development by supporting preliminary work or feasibility studies.
