Heather Graham

Head of Faculty People and Organisational Development

Heather GrahamHeather Graham was appointed as Head of Faculty People and Organisational Development in August 2016.

She was previously Head of Faculty Human Resources for the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences.

Heather received a bachelor's degree in French Studies from The University of Manchester in 1988 and, in 1991, gained the CIPD qualification (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) from Staffordshire University.

Since graduating from Manchester in 1988, Heather has spent her entire career working in HR. She has had a range of HR roles including working in graduate recruitment and as a recruitment specialist and careers consultant, in addition to several general HR appointments.

She has worked in organisations spanning a wide range of sectors including textiles (Coats Viyella plc), the NHS (North Staffordshire Health Authority), IT/services outsourcing (ICL/Fujitsu) and energy and technical services (Dalkia ETS).

Heather began her career in higher education in 2003, when she joined Manchester Metropolitan University. She then joined the newly formed University of Manchester in November 2004 as Head of Faculty HR for the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences.

Heather has also been a member of the University Senior HR team since joining in 2004.
